Utrecht, 21 April 2010 – During Cisco’s annual partner dinner in Amsterdam, network specialist AXIANS received the award for Commercial/Mid-market Partner of the Year. This is not just a Dutch award, but also one of the four ‘North Geo Awards’. AXIANS received this honour because it has distinguished itself from other partners in the north region. This region comprises the Benelux, Denmark, Norway, Sweden and Finland. Because of this award, AXIANS will be eligible to compete in the European Cisco Partner Awards to be presented next week in San Francisco.

Cisco presents annual awards to partners that have realised major growth or distinguished themselves in another way. The award was presented to AXIANS by Fred Gerritse, Manager of Partner Organisation at Cisco Systems, and Coks Stoffer, Managing Director.

Fred Gerritse, Manager of Partner Organisation at Cisco: ‘AXIANS has been named Commercial /Mid-market Partner of the year for Cisco’s North region because last year, in this segment, it realised a whopping 30 percent increase in turnover. The organisation is strongly focused on drawing attention to the total Cisco portfolio within the commercial segment. Moreover, 40 percent of Cisco’s turnover from AXIANS comes from sales of Cisco’s Advanced Technologies, a remarkable achievement. Furthermore, the AXIANS organisation, in close collaboration with our sales team, has succeeded in persuading clients of the surplus value of an integrated total solution. AXIANS has more than earned this North Geo Award’.
